- Glycol has a thinner lubrication film and higher specific gravity than water and mineral oil. This results in particles that would sink and settle in other fluids to float in glycol. Floating particles remain mobile which makes them a threat to the components of your heating system. Deionized water (DI water) is a clean water purified by removing atoms, ions, and molecules from tap water through an ion exchange process. Deionization removes dissolved particles, minerals, carbon dioxide, organic contaminants and other impurities. The absence of these particles makes DI water the ideal choice for mixing in a glycol filled system. For many years getting DI water to the job site was a struggle, requiring luging DI water to the job site in anything from 1gallon to 55gallon containers. Now, we can create our own DI water right off the tap using high quality mixed-bed resin filling stations.
- The filling station magnetic basic mobile mini is ideal for service technicians and companies, who primarily maintain residential heating systems. The integrated measuring computer shows the exact conductivity of the demineralized water in the outlet and it indicates exceedances of the setpoint with a light signal. The resettable digital flow meter also guarantees an exact logging and billing of the filling towards the customer.
- The quality of the resin makes the difference in the quality of heating water. It is particularly important not to compromise here. That is why we only supply resin of the highest quality standard.
